- How do I place an order for an art work?
All orders are placed directly with the artist and not with ArtNatAm. This way the artist receives 100% of the proceeds from the sale of their art work. Please check: Placing Orders
.
- How much is this painting worth?
I do not have the experience or knowledge to be able appraise art work from your collection. Please contact an art gallery that specializes in Native American art. Please check: Gallery Listing by States.
- I am looking for artist . . . ?
- I am trying to trace my Native American roots, can you help?
- May I use an image from ArtNatAm for my site?
All images, text and pages at ArtNatAm are copyrighted. We do permit the use of images only from ArtNatAm. Please check: Using Images from ArtNatAm before placing an image on your site from ArtNatAm.
- Could you give my site a link?
Yes, if your site is related. Related sites are obviously Native American and/or art related, but if your site is of high quality or popularity I will consider your unrelated link. Sites by or with Native Americans are not required to link back, but all other sites are required to link back.
Also, ArtNatAm is accessed by many schools so only "G" rated sites will be given a link. Sites that contain pornography or objectional material will be refused. Please check our Link Page and recommend what category you would like to be linked under. All sites are reviewed before a link is given.
- John Kostura, what tribe do you belong to?
I am not Native American. "Kostura" is of Austrian-Hungarian origin, I am also Czechoslovak, German, Irish and English.
- How did ArtNatAm start?
In July of 1995, Cherokee artist John Guthrie came to me with the idea of starting a Native American art site. I knew it was something that I needed to do. Jerome Bushyhead soon joined the site followed by Dana Tiger, David Eveningthunder and Urshel Taylor. John Guthrie is no longer on ArtNatAm. He currently owns and operates his family's site Guthrie Indian Art Studio. Please pay them a visit you will not be disappointed.
